Our Behind the Scenes event made its way to Birmingham on 10 and 11 June, opening our doors to a diverse array of businesses at the Birmingham Live & Birmingham Mail office in Brindley Place.
The two-day event drew over 70 stakeholders representing key businesses and agencies from across the West Midlands, who participated in sessions aimed at providing insights into the digital advancements unfolding at Reach. The event was all about diving deep into the ever-changing world of digital media and local news, and it turned out to be an inspiring couple of days!
We kicked things off with a lively networking session. It was fantastic to see so many people connecting, sharing ideas, and even sparking new opportunities. The room was overflowing with energy as everyone got to know each other.

After taking their seats, guests enjoyed our panel discussion on “The Future of Digital Media and Local News”, hosted by Guy Keeble, our Business Development Director – Regionals at Reach. Our editorial panellists brought some unique insights about editorial campaigning, how they decide what to write about, finding the balance between national and local news coverage and much more.

- Tamlyn Jones, Midlands Business Editor
- Kirsty Bosley, Journalist and Features Writer BirminghamLive

Post-session, attendees were given an opportunity to ask our panel of speakers any questions they might still have. The discussion was not only informative but also sparked a lot of great conversations among attendees. As the panel discussion drew to a close, guests were whisked to the second of the three hubs designed to deepen their understanding and explore practical applications of AI in digital marketing.
